in a galaxy far far away.....
The year is 747.5 ABY.
With the conclusion of the Bloody Core Wars, the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances has all but duplicated the influence and power of the Old Republic, spanning the entire galaxy and operating with the aid, loyalty, and unity of both their ally of old, the New Jedi Order, and their newest recent companion, the People's Oligarchy. The peace they have brought to the Galaxy, through various agreements with a great many powers of the galaxy, has lasted for the past two hundred years, but the tides are turning and others powers are rising to challenge the authority of not just the Galactic Alliance, but the Royal Mandalorian Federation and the Galactic Empire as well.
Over the years, the Galactic Alliance Senate undertook a noble task of stabilising diplomatic relations with the Coruscanti Dictatorship. Having regained its trust, the Senate initiated a Military Relief Effort, releasing the execrable totalitarian bonds of Notron. Craving to maintain its strength and position of authority in the Known Galaxy, the Galactic Alliance Triumvirate elected the Queen of the Core as the Alliance's primary capital, restoring the planet to its former glory in the process. This suspicious act sparked much controversy, considering Coruscant was the first capital of the Old Republic--the origins of the Galactic Alliance--which had, inevitably, converted into the dreaded Galactic Empire, a government that never left the trillions of hearts stained by their heinous rule. However, Cal Omar, perhaps the only Chief of State to have been so highly regarded by the people of the Galactic Alliance, voted in favour of the capital, and shortly won the support of his citizens.
Meanwhile, the reconstruction of the Jedi Temple on Tython, the original homeworld of the Jedi, has finally been completed, and students are once again allowed to walk throughout its halls. Ever since the Temple's Jedi Seers foretold the Prophecy of Time, as the Triumvirate call it, a prophecy that would change the fabric of the way of life shared by all cultures throughout the Galaxy, the Jedi have been preparing themselves more than ever before with expectations of encountering this impeding danger that, as some have said, is already within our midst...
In 747.8 ABY, the Royal Mandalorian Federation sought to reconnect with the Galactic Alliance. To fulfil this task, the Mandalorian Federation proposed the Galactic Union Agreement. Initially, the Galactic Alliance Triumvirate was negligent to accept, until the Galactic Empire took interest in the treaty as well. The Oligarchy Triumvir and the Grand Master of the New Jedi Order believe having the three galactic powers united would surely ensure peace reigns eternally, and would put the Galaxy at rest. Albeit, Cal Omar was so persistent that, for a short time, he managed to rid the Senate of even thinking about the Agreement. Taking pleasure in the Senate conforming to what he believed to be the best decision for the Galactic Alliance, the Chief of State decided to spend the upcoming holiday at the Presidential Retreat on Naboo. Alas!, his plans were interrupted by his "loyal" Minister of State, who framed him for his father's murder case. Since the Ruling Council supported the Chief of State, the Senate found itself unable to remove the President from office via Vote of No Confidence. The only option remaining was a coup d'etat. It was at that moment the Galactic Alliance turned on the Chief of State, and the Court of Justice declared a Warrant of Arrest for the President.
The President fled his office, and the Minister of State, an Imperial sympathiser coincidentally, arose from the ashes to replace the apparent criminal.
The Galactic Union Agreement succeeded as envisioned. The Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, commonly known as the Galactic Union, was renewed, composing of five galactic powers: the Galactic Empire, the Royal Mandalorian Federation, the New Jedi Order, the People's Oligarchy, and the former New Galactic Republic. The Five Brothers Commonwealth chooses to remain autonomous of the Galactic Union.
The Union has forced itself to believe that the galaxy is seemingly at peace, but that is far from the truth.
Now acquiring unrestricted access to Galactic Union space (territories of each signatory), the Galactic Empire's plot is unleashed. An Imperial sleeper agent infiltrates the Jedi homeworld of Illum, and blasts the Jedi Enclave into a billion pieces, annihilating the Jedi Grand Master and two Jedi High Councillors, along with many younglings. This act forces the Jedi High Council to take action, assuming the Galactic Empire was the root of the explosion, but is quickly stopped when three sleeper fleets of the Imperial Navy awaken in the Tython system, threatening the only known remains of the New Jedi Order.
The Royal Mandalorian Federation is briefly taken care of as its Prime Minister is an Imperial Nationalist, while the People's Oligarchy has grown accepting of the Empire for their recent funding and mutual understanding on vital political aspects.
The Empire's plan comes to its climax as the Federal Ruling Council declares the Emperor the Chancellor of the Galactic Union . The alliances are virtually forced to convert to Imperialism and proclaim undying fealty to their one, true leader. The Mandalore sees beyond the Empire's deception, and commands the might of his forces to oppress the Galactic Union and bring it to its end.
The Galactic Union descends into a 3-way civil war, with the New Jedi Order, the Royal Mandalorian Federation, and the former President's loyalists standing on a united front.
Meanwhile, from the unwatched corners of the galaxy, a man watches and smiles as the first flames of devastation are kindled...

Nuch, it is your turn to post as the Mandalore. Proteus, you will act as the Imperial sympathiser, the Prime Minister of the Mandalorian Federation. Read my post entirely first, however.

Why the need for multiple people playing the same character? It can complicate things, two conflicting personalities for one is ... well confusing, annoying and unneeded.
BTW, you have two dead links.
Oh and it's Mand'alor, Mandalore is a Planet, system, sector, race, not a title. Just something that I notice a little too often.

I understand your point of view, but we just do not have enough staff members to take a single role each. I believe we have certain experienced members within our Administration that are capable of playing diverse characters with utterly different personalities.
However, you are the official NPC Emperor.
I think Lionna can play any Jedi character, honestly.
I think everything else is good, unless there are further objections.
Break it up into today and the next day, so you can explain the Mand'alor's feelings toward the meeting, and then the next day you can talk about getting prepared for the upcoming meeting. The location for the summit will be specified in my post so just post that you got into your ship. I don't want to reveal the location publicly just yet, however.

The knock on the door symbolizing the arrival of the individual given the job of guiding them to the ballroom had been prompt and thankfully loud enough to hear. Not that the Hapan's hadn't been listening and prepared. Lillian had been seated stiffly, running through the information Rhonyn had supplied her. When the knock sounded, she slipped the datapad into his pocket and took a breath. She had trained her whole life for moments like these and with the amazing relaxation capabilities of her Consort, Lilly was at least semi-prepared to deal with the upcoming situation. Much rested on her success. She would not fail.
The door opened and with a slight nod towards their guide, the two stepped into the hallway and followed him. What began as a trip through dimly lit and silent hallways slowly gave way to brighter lights and the sound of voices. A shiver ran through her as she had a moment of hesitation. Her footsteps paused and in that pause she felt Rhonyn at her back keeping her, as always, from giving in to the desire to run. The trio paused behind a pair of closed doors, their guide murmuring to wait a moment and her hand drifted back to grasp her consorts'.
"Rhonyn..." Her voice was little more than a murmur and she waited till he leaned forward. "I apologize ahead of time for having to be what they expect me to be."
It was all she could give him, but she hated it. She hated that she would have to step through the doors as her name was announced and suddenly become a stereotypical Hapan female with her pet following behind her. A vicious sneer lit her lips for a moment fueled by the anger she felt, but their guide was back. The doors were opening and her face was schooled into a textbook perfect look of neutrality. She had long dropped Rhonyn's hand and knew from their years of experience together he had moved just to her right about six inches behind her shoulder. Close enough that she could feel the heat from his body, but far enough that he didn't appear to be looming over her.
Ambassador Lillian Adali, Envoy from the Hapes Consortiuum and Consort.
She inclined her head towards the herald, finding the use of one to be rather amusing. All politics, it appeared, was the same across the galaxy. Small, delicate footsteps brought her down the stairs, and she stopped at the foot bowing to the Supreme Chancellor. She recognized him from the images Rhonyn had delivered to her and silently thanked him for being so prepared.
"Supreme Chancellor. It is an honor to be invited to the Republic. And the party is lovely..."

The night had been long and brutal for the Chief of State. All night his bedchamber resonated shrills as the bed was overcome by the massive vibrations of Cal Omar tossing to and fro. Although he was unable to utilise the Force, Cal swore he foresaw the near future during his slumber, but he prayed it was a mere conjuring of his thoughts and nothing more, for what he had seen was beyond what the Galaxy itself could sustain. A darker power would rise, one that had been concealing itself in the shadows for generations now. With their ascension, all species would bow before them and proclaim them the true masters of the universe. The galactic powers wouldn't even have the technology to defeat them, for they came in packs. Their strength equated to that of the greatest terrors of the Rishi Maze. They were the very blanket of death. Their sole presence would relieve you of your oh so valuable life.
Cal was fully attired in his chancery garments, a dazzling gold veda cloth.
"Your Grace, the Triumvirate is demanding your presence n--"
"Tell them if they keep making demands such as those, I won't even bother walking to that infernal contraption! It is bad enough I must waste my valuable time attending this diplomatic mission. Chances are the Prime Minister wants us all at one location so it will take less poison gas. That reminds me...will our Chief of Security be present among the Delegation?" The Chief of State commanded firmly, rather troubled with what could become of this lame excuse for a death call.
"Done, and, yes, Your Excellency. I have security detail on screen. Three full squadrons of starfighters will escort the Delegation, which will be aboard the A.S.S. Indomitable, to the planned location. The rest of the information requires the highest level of clearance. I assume it was for safety precautions that my access was restricted. I suggest you speak to the Chief of Security yourself."
"Very well. I'm leaving my chambers now. Take care of the office in my stead, Zorah."
"I always will, Your Grace. Who knows what minions the Minister of State will have shuffle through your desk during your absence."
[color=white]As Cal walked towards the door, he motioned his security towards him.
I refer more to the super gibberish, not working to bit.
It was a template for something. No need to worry. That is not the droid you are looking for. Move along, move along.
And NUCH - There is absolutely no need to make an ooc topic in a strictly role-playing area. We do have rules about that, you know. Even we, the Administrators, must obey them. However, I made it clear that I was speaking about NEW ALDERAAN. If you look up those coordinates on the SW Wikia, you will know what I mean. Otherwise, wait until the Plot actually develops more and you'll see what's up.
You didn't it just says Alderaan and doesn't make any notion about anything new. OK I'll post, I just wanted to make sure if I was reading it correctly.
Sorry if I made a mistake, Administrators aren't the pinnacle of absolute perfection, we still make mistakes. Just a couple days ago we were allowed to do things like that
Side Note - What's so new about New Alderaan? It's 500 years old
Lol. Normally, I don't make racist jokes whatsoever.
Nuch - I do not think you read my entire post, as "Sosulur" seemed to think that the Alliance didn't reveal the location. The President's secretary specifically told the Mandalorian Federation that the coordinates were "O-9". Don't reveal the location too soon in the role-play just yet, however. I want it to be a surprise to us all when we arrive.
Faal, if you so desire, the time to undergo the role of the Emperor has come. Your post should include information about the Emperor's intention to join the Union, but do not yet reveal the truth behind their plot. In addition, the Empire will have received the coordinates for the location of the meeting via the Mandalorian Federation since the Prime Minister is an Imperial sympathiser. Following your post, it will be my turn then Nuch's, and we'll go from there.
Yes, list the coordinates. Also, for the sake of time, I could make a quick post right now and we move along, then have Faal do his post whenever he comes online. Just as long as he shows up when our deliberation is already in session.
By the way, how did you find my html post? Was it too hard to read? Creative and unique? Too small of a font? Inconsistent? In disagreement with the role-playing rules of chronology?
People keep telling me it's hard to read. But unfortunately people forget that "quote" features exist, which is what I use in nearly every RP'ing situation so I can reply more efficiently.
If you want you can post to hurry along and I can edit my post right now while your posting. Basically I'll just add onto it that we went to "O-9".
It's decent. I kind of desired to play the role of the villain for once and my life, but I suppose it would be a big responsibility, taking into account my own character will be participating in this plot.
Sorry, but I have to object to this, guys... I don't want another dominating faction of evilness. I think it's time for the GA to be the more dominant faction in the Galaxy.
Just to be clear, Stark is pissed off yes. To him you've done what he has wanted under his nose. But Stark's not stupid, He's going to play this to his advantage. Milk it for all it's got, and of course, You know the rest.
